The word 'scudetto' means 'little shield' which very aptly describes the shape of this jig.

This versatile jig is effective paired with different rigs or fished alone.  The jig is best worked slowly along and off the bottom.

Scudetto Jig Basics

The jig was design to integrate with Monomoy Tackle 3 Way Spoon Rigs for Summer Fluke and other bottom fish.

  • Assymetrical Shape: Wobble and Wounded baitfish action on the decent and when slowly jigging

  • Flat Bottom: Produces disturbance on the bottom that can call in fish

  • 3D Eyes and Silicone Skirts: Components that enhance the appearance of the lure

  • Multiple Hook Options: Single and Assist Hooks can be interchanges depending on your bait and intended use.  Damaged or overused hooks doesn't mean that you have to discard the entire jig.

  • Finish: All Colors come with a glow feature

  • Hooks: Gamakatsu Baitholder hooks are standard with the jig if 'single hook' rigging is desired.  Octopus Hooks are used on Assist Hooks which are bench made with kevlar chord and shrink tube.

Where/When to Use

Best uses are when drifting for bottom dwelling species.  Can be used in Shallow water or Deep Water Applications.

Jig can be fished on its own or paired with both High-Low Style Rigs and Three Way Style Rigs.

How to Fish It

Slowly drop to the bottom.  Raise off the bottom.  As the Jig falls, it will 'stride' forward and slowly wobble.  Many hits will occur on the drop.
